Early morning, you will be picked up from hotel by one of our representatives to the berth for embarkation onto a cruise sailing to Dandara. The boat starts sailing early morning about 7 a.m. In about 4 hours the boat arrives to Dandara. The distance is about 40 miles north of Luxor at Qena governorate. Enjoy the peaceful river viewing the farming villages along the river banks. Upon arrival start visit Temple of Hathor, goddess of heaven, love and joy. The temple is one of the best preserved monuments in Egypt. It was built in the 1st century B.C.. It took about hundred years to build, and some parts were never completed. Dandara was the capital of the sixth district of Upper Egypt under the Ptolemies. Lunch and tea are served on board in the afternoon. Duration of trip will be approximately 12 hours.
